Hefei Xinqiao International Airport, a domestic 4E-class hub and trunk airport, is located in Gao Liu Town, Feixi County, Hefei City, Anhui Province, 31.8 km from the centre of Hefei City.

Hefei New Bridge International Airport has a 3,400m long, 45m wide runway and a parallel taxiway; a terminal building with a construction area of 108,500 square metres; 27 passenger spaces on the station apron; and supporting facilities for communication, navigation, meteorology, fuel supply, water supply, power supply, gas supply, heating, airline bases and other production support facilities as well as corresponding administrative office and living facilities. The total investment estimate of the project is RMB 3.728 billion.

On 29 May 2013, Hefei Luogang Airport has been transferred to Hefei Xinqiao International Airport, which was opened at 0000 hours on 30 May 2013.

In August 2010, Beijing Beijing Airport Engineering Co., Ltd. constructed the Hefei Xinqiao International Airport flight area lighting, apron lighting and aircraft services electricity project, and in 2015, it constructed the new bridge equipment renovation project supporting the power supply renovation project, etc. All projects passed the completion inspection and acceptance and were handed over for use.
