Shanghai Pudong International Airport is located in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, China, about 30 km from the centre of Shanghai. It is a 4F class civil airport, the largest hub airport in East China, and the largest entrance airport and international air cargo hub in East China.

Built in 1999, Shanghai Pudong International Airport has two terminals and three cargo areas, covering an area of 824,000 square metres; 218 aircraft stands, of which 135 are for civil aircraft; and four runways, two 3,800m runways, one 3,400m runway and one 4,000m runway.

At present, the annual passenger throughput of Shanghai Pudong Airport has exceeded 70 million passengers, and the annual cargo and postal throughput has exceeded 4 million tons, with a total of 297 destinations in 47 countries and regions around the world.

Since January 2000, Beijing Jing Hang An Airport Engineering Co., Ltd. has been engaged in the construction of the first to fourth runway navigation lighting project, apron lighting project and perimeter security project of Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
