On the afternoon of November 14th,the sensor installation of the N2 smart runway project of Xi'an Xianyang Airport, which was undertaken by JHA, has been successfully completed .

In this project, the total length of the smart runway, constructed by JHA, is 3800m in which 238 sensors will be installed under the 6 section design parts including the take-off section and landing section. Since the commencement from October 29, 2022, the staff of the project department have overcome lots of disadvantages such as limited schedule for the milestone and cross-construction with civil work. The personnel adopted flexible working modes such as assigning special personnel to negotiate with the road marking section, centralized construction breakthrough, and rapid emergency response to catch up with the progress and keep the node. It took only 17 days to complete the installation of 238 sensors with high quality, and the test passing rate was as high as 100%.

Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is one of the eight regional hub airports that planned by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. The third-phase expansion project of the airport will further coordinate the development of regional economy and society, accelerate the development of Xi'an International Aviation Hub, improve the airport's comprehensive support capabilities and service levels, and meet the needs of rapid growth in regional aviation business.

Conduct in-depth safety technology disclosure before sensor installation, and carefully organize installation and construction

The N2 smart runway project successfully completed the sensor installation, which guarantee the completion and acceptance of the third phase expansion project of Xi'an Xianyang Airport.
