Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport is an important mainline airport and a national class 1 air port in China.
Located in the southeast of Zhengzhou City, 25 kilometres from downtown, Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport covers an area of 16,000 mu, with two runways of 4E and 4F levels, two terminals of T1 and T2 with a total area of 620,000 square meters, 149 passenger aircraft parking spaces and 9 cargo aircraft parking spaces, with a guaranteed capacity of 40 million passengers and 700,000 tons of cargo and mail per year.
On December 22, 2015, the second phase of the Zhengzhou Airport project was completed and put into operation, with the construction of the T2 terminal building with an area of 486,000 square meters; a 4F-class runway and taxiway system with a runway length of 3,600 meters, a 79-space passenger apron and a 4-space cargo apron; a new 274,000-square-meter integrated transportation interchange centre (GTC); a new cargo terminal, a catering centre, a power centre and auxiliary production and other ancillary facilities.
In 2014, Beijing Beijing Airport Engineering Co., Ltd. was awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Unit in Quality, Progress and Safety Management" by the Zhengzhou Airport Command in 2015 for the construction of the North Flight Area Visual Aids Lighting Project, Station Apron Power Supply and Distribution and Lighting Project of the Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport Phase II Expansion Project.
