Information

Sri Lanka Bandaranaike International Airport is a civil-military international airport located approximately 30 kilometres north of the Sri Lankan capital Colombo, owned by the Government of Sri Lanka and operated and managed by Sri Lanka Airports and Aviation Services Limited, which provides air services to the city of Colombo. It is the hub airport for Sri Lanka's national airline and the country's number one international airport. It receives 9 million passengers per year and its runway has been built over 30 years ago and is beyond its design life.

The runway of Sri Lanka Bandaranaike International Airport is the highest-rated 4F runway in the entire South Asia region, with a full LED lighting system, and is capable of landing and taking off the giant A380 airliner, and is suitable for flights in all weather conditions.

Beijing Jing Hang An Airport Engineering Co., Ltd. will undertake the visual aids to navigation project for 12 months, from January 2017 to December 2017.
